hmmm good question…Its what they used to run in, right?! Steve Prefontaine was one of the best runners ever and this is what he wore. Heck, he is the one that helped get Nike started and didn't even know it.

You could always just try to run in them. If they have enough arch and ankle support then I'd say they may be okay. Probably not good though. Like I said earlier, I think they are just for looks.
